ok so after much debate, and even confronting OTHER truck forums...i gave up and went for the autolite spark plugs...the famous 3923's... i am relly anxious about whats going to happen when i put in these 12 dollar plugs... and when i say 12 dollar....i mean i bought -8- of them...for 12 dollars total. that is rediculous. i hope they perform well cuz they definately arent the 8 dollar a piece plugs that have all the hype...i'll post results in a week when they are in.

I'd expect good results - two freinds who are professional machanics (and not Ford guys) both say Autolite are one of the most resistant plugs to fouling, from their racing experience.

i used them for a while in my r/t but wasnt too crazy about them. i had to replace them every year otherwise id get a poor idle and bad driveability. i went to ngk 4291 plugs with the v-groove and they are the same heat range as the autolite 3923s but they are made better and last longer too and seem to give a better idle.

If you really notice ANY difference, something was wrong with your old plugs.

I replaced my stockers in my 4.7 when I did the HO manifold mod, cause I was right there anyway.
the AutoLites were about 89cents.

I used 3923's after about 75,000 miles, and they looked like they did when they went in.

Then I took them out for some Bosch platinums on sale, I think I paid about 2.25 a plug for the Bosch's.

Realistically, I didn't notice any difference with any of them. My truck runs NICE!
