Hey Guys I didnt purchase the ceramic headers I have the knicle chrome plated steel headers so they will get hot.I was worried about the alternater, starter, and couple hoses.Purchased this wrap called COOL IT Thermo Tec,It says readuces heat 70 percEnt but it also says the more heat kept in the pipes makes better combustion because the gasses cool soon as leave the motor itself ,into the headers. So anyway its says it will create couple more horses Any truth to this?Well I figure it will help the cool air intake if anything.

Think about it. There is no combustion after the exhaust leaves the engine and enters the header. It may help to burn off some gas fumes that got by the engine at best.

So many problems .... So little time

It says it keeps the velocify not combustion my bad as in better push out the system I take it. my bad no combustion it says the hotter the headers stay inside the better velocity it has flowing out wich helps scavenging.Make more scense?

I guess anything is possible but i,m not i agreement with that. Burning raw fuel in the headers is very possible but the Gas being lite knows no direction causing more pressure in both directions understadably.the more pressure you put in a given size pipe causes back presure and this you do not want in a 4 strole engine. Now 2 steokes require this back pressure and expanchain chambers can create considerable power At certain RPMs.

may be a good idea. I had headers on my 440 Plymouth GTX and burned out several starters because the headers passed so close to the starter. Get into your car turn the key and hear a whirrr as the starter gears refuse to engage the flywheel and you say "Why me??" Or you can accomplish the same thing by wrapping the starter instead of the header.

Yes, it can make a few more ponies. Headers work by heat tranmission. It's kind of complicated, but the more heat you keep in the pipes, the better cylinder evacuation you get. That means you get a cleaner cylinder fill, and a little more power.
