any thoughts on an after market transmission controller for 2005 4.7 automatic that will allow manual shifting similar to the dodge charger? towing a 5,000lb trailer and tranny, it downshifts when its not required, would like to lock the darn thing in a specific gear and keep it there

Don't know about locking it down, but you'd be a good step in the right direction with a tranny kit...
