I just picked up some Bosch, single platinums, for 2.19ea. @ 'O Riellys.

I have 95,000 miles on my 01 4.7.

What's amazing is that the 3923's I put in over 75,000 miles ago when I did my HO intake, looked brand new.

Not white, or brown, or black, but almost like new. I only did it 'cause they had over 75,000 on them.

The 4.7 is so nice! Vertical plugs!, so easy to work on.

yadda, yadda,

01, 4.7, manual, yadda, yadda,
dynoed and did some conservative loss #'s of only 18%. Crank HP OVER 265, Crank tq OVER 350!

Stock heads, bottom end, exhaust (minus the third cat) stock TB, (self ported) and NA.

Duner's is in the mid 12's with the 4.7
Into the 11's with a boosted 5.9 R/T he ackquired.

I was bummed he got another truck to play with, last time I went to the track when he was there he didn't bring the "4.7 that could" :(

That 4.7 I bought used has like 90k on it, abused and all. If he didn't change the oil, you KNOW he didn't change the plugs.
The plugs look really good.

Yes this engine burns clean.

And it's easy to work on and I think pretty bulletproof in stock form. That's why i chose it for my Duster project over shoving in a 318 or a 440 :)
