Just curious, does anyone know if the new dodge chargers, magnums, or chrysler 300's have limited slip in them. I see traction control listed on the equipment list, but nothing about a LSD. Does anyone know?

I don't know the full answer, but I think that most traction control systems employ the ABS to provide "traction control".

They do this by detecting the spinning wheel (via ABS hardware/controller), then applying the brake to that wheel to bring it under control. On open differentials this would then transfer the power delivery to the other wheel.

It's not a true two-wheel power distribution like LSD. It's a computer controlled mechanism to keep the drive wheel(s) from spinning freely; to keep the car under control.

Go to the Dodge/Chrysler website and go through the "build" process to see if LSD (Anti-Spin) is available to add to one of these vehicles. That'll answer your first question.

What's your left foot doing?

i did that for the Charger and all you'll see are axle ratio's. no option for LSD(Anti-Spin). i would think with that much power to the road available that it would be an option, unless it's standard and not advertised. HMMMMMM

I just checked out the Magnum and Charger. No Anti-Spin option. Maybe the traction control needs the drive axle to be open, rather than LSD'ed to work. Mutually exclusive, perhaps. Bogus, deinitely!

Yup that sucks.

You can't really get the thing to go sideways like with an LSD. Which is a FUN thing at times :)

Our Grand Caravan has traction control. It grabs the spinning wheel with the brake! It works I guess.

But I wouldn't want that crap on my Dak.
