Are you talking about the Multi Displacement System ?
If so - = Yes - will have some effect on sound
depending on how "hard " you hit her..

I have no data to back this up, but it would seem to me that it shouldn't affect the sound unless you were at "cruising speed" when the MDS actually takes effect.
If it ain't broke, fix it til it is.

never thought about that.
i wonder when your at idle if 4 of the cylinders are off? least when you massh down on the throttle its running all 8.
how well do those hemis run? does it have more low end grunt than the 5.9?

I know the MSD has nothing to do with this post but as it is mentioned and having run an MSD in the past (BUT NO MORE) I'm wondering how it could possibley change the sound of the engine exaust < It only creates a hotter multiple spark that sets the plugs of only one time on the same gas charge < Has no posible means of doing any more then setting off the same amount of gas in the same cylender and no means to burn the gas faster < In fact if it did make the gas burn faster you would get spark knock unless timing was retarded < Interested in your thougts on what or how exaust is changed > I'm always willing to learn >
