 Subject: superchips on a modified engine?

there is a warning in the manual for the superchips tuner that says the tuner is made to program a stock engine and that performance may be lost if a modified engine is tuned...wtf! this makes no sense! can anyone help me understand this?

I'm not sure exactly but probably something to do with the fuel curve. If you have a highly modified engine the curve has already been affected and if u use the superchips it could possibly dumb it down? Dunno just a stab at it.
