i understand how to do this mod and have a digital multimeter but i dont really understand how to use it. do i put it on dc volts or ac volts? do i use the red prong or both red and black prong? how and were do i place the prong to get the reading?

Put the multimeter on 20 DC volts. Since your vehicle runs off of a 12 volt system, to measure the voltage, the multimeter has to be set to a higher voltage (20 over 12--if that makes any sense). Put the neg. prong (black) on a ground or the neg. post on the battery. Take the pos. prong (red) and stick it in the middle wire on the TPS. You may have to force it in there a little to get a reading. Check out full instructions on:
