the handle in my dakota is probably the best you can get for truck inless you get the r/t. i love going in to a 90 degree turn and throwing the tall wide puts a smile on my face every time. scares the hell out of people in your truck too.
ps tons of tire smoke:)

Hey toolfan, if you spent more time in school and less time on here, you might learn how to spell.

Does it really matter how he spells? I thought as long as he got the point across it was fine. Who appointed you spelling and grammar moderator anyway?

If it ain't broke, fix it til it is.

I agree cuzindoug; leave the spelling and grammar corrections to me. It is only necessary in the case of the Troll we finally got rid of.

Toolfan...disregard that post above from someone who has no clue how this board functions. I enjoy your posts. Wow, one letter or two out of place and someone becomes a know it all. Could just be a wrong flip of the finger on a key. Speaking of flip of the finger...oh, nevermind.

spelling, do you ever slid around corners?

it helps to just answer the Question in stead of focusing on the little things in life.

If you don't have a Sports model, get the front sway bar off one at a recking yard. Same size as the RT on many of the models(or off an RT if you can find one). I added a rear sway bar that really changed the cornering

Since this is my first truck, I don't have anything to compare it to, with the exception of a Toyota Tacoma 4WD that my friend owns. When I had my neon before I bought my Dak, he let me borrow his Toyota for a few days because the neon was in the shop. The Tacoma drives a bit more like a truck, which is okay because it is a truck. I felt like the possibility of rollover was greater in the Toyota. Center of gravity just felt higher for some reason.

I like my '01 Dak. Can't comment on the tire smoke toolfan; used to do that in my '69 GTO when I was much younger.

Hey, don't worry about the spelling on here. It's the damn internet. If you keep it interesting, everyone should overlook spelling. I just hate when someone answers a post and starts cussing at someone for no reason. I'm not a prude, but there is a place and time for that. It's those type of posters I don't even waste my time on. You won't change them, so leave them be.

Oh yeah...one more note on tire smoke for you toolfan. First week I had the truck I was coming off an exit ramp going to the airport. Black ice at the end of the ramp and I didn't see it. Spun me around three times in the middle of what would have been an extremely busy road and I was only doing 10mph. Luckily it was 5am and not one other vehicle was on the road. There was tire smoke on that one, but not the kind you would have been pushing for. Talk about the pucker effect.

i don't have the ice problem were i live but did have the same effect. my freind was going around a corner that was to sharp to take at 50mph and went right off the road and into the gard rail. that was in a r/t. i think if i was drive i wouldn't have been doing 50mph into a 90 degree turn. "just me"
