I just installed a Y-pipe today but I need to get a pipe made from the cat to the Y-pipe. My question is that is it OK to run around a little bit with just the Y-pipe being dumped. I know it is loud as sh*t but i dont know if it will hurt anything. I just need to drive a little bit till I get too the exhaust shop.

Nope you should be fine.
I had to do it in my 95 Ranger once when i had the headers installed. Wow talking about loud I got lots of funny looks but screw em. If you get pulled over tell the Pigman your on the way to the exhaust shop now and ask him/her for a Pigman Escort.

Ha ha, that was actually my plan if i got pulled over but I really am going to the shop when my carsound cat comes in. I have gibson headers and a JBA y-pipe and that matched with a 318 makes it sound like a dragster dumped right at the Y-pipe. Your town just got a sound ordinance so i guess ill try it out.

Used to live in Ft. Wayne and had to drive through Albion a few times. He isnt kidding, you see a cop about every half mile.

Most the cops in my area you can read about them in the news paper or on the nightly news for raping little girls, drugs, dui, mis-use of city funds. from what i've seen i believe most cops are corrupted and 2-faced.
As far as your ypipe goes, go for it

Drove through town today and did not get pulled over. I did get a few comments from some people. Some hillbilly asked if I had a hemi in my truck. Check engine light came on as expected but it is running just fine. Off to the muffler shop monday.
Big Dave, Albion isnt even 1/2 big there is one stop light. but it does seem big when there is a 25 MPH speed limit, and I did get pulled over going 26. You probally saw a cop every 1/2 mile outside town though.
