My wifes 98 5.9 grand Cherokee has this little thing where at idle for no reason, the idle will shoot from say 700rpm to around 2000rpm for no reason at all. some times it will settle down back to normal, sometimes it won't. Any ideas/suggestions? (Injectors, sensors??)

Could be bad TPS on the TB.

don't think you need a whole different throttle body. try a new tps module first. also, I've read around here that the surging idle may be caused by a gunked up iac (right next to the tps on the throttle body). try giving that a clean as well. good luck...

Yup, you can try cleaning IAC but most likely its the TPS - just need the sensor; not a whole new TB.

A bad map sensor tends to cause irratic idle/cutting out, as well. If you have a check engine light on you should get it scanned.
