I'm doing a swap from 3.9 (5spd nv3500) to a 5.9 with a vortech supercharger. The motor comes complete with gibson headers, msd 6a and all that jazz. From what I've read I need a 360 flywheel, where do I find this relatively cheap? Also is this going to have weights on it or not? I've already got the wiring harness/computer, just need info on the flywheel.

The motor is a '99 durango motor with 22k miles on it and my truck is a 2002 dakota cc.

for the flywheel, look into a 3/4 ton ram with a 360 five speed.

You will need a flywheel from a 360, these motors are externally balanced, i think the cheapest deal would be the MP performance piece.

You can get a 3.9 on ebay for like 100 bucks, I'm keeping mine just in case something goes wrong with the 360.

I know I need the flywheel, but I have to find one. I'm having trouble with the junkyards having pieces. The MP performance flywheel was like 400 bucks from the dealer, no thx. I got the engine, supercharger and 46RE transmission (or 44re, I haven't checked, whatever a r/t durango comes with) for $1750. I'm not going to spend almost 1/4th that junk of change on just a flywheel.

I assume that you have checked www.auto-part.com? I found several from $85-150 and a bunch to call.

Haven't had too much time to look for it as I just picked the motor up from the carrier friday (what a hassle, roadway is a bad service!) I just checked www.car-part.com and found a few that I can call. Good idea, but I thought the rams 2500+ came with the NV4500, will the flywheel match my NV3500?

Also, will the flashed 5.9 computer work for my applications? He had it flashed to work better with the supercharger, but still the durango was a Automatic and mine is a manual. I think it will still work, but I'm not sure and I've already contaced KRC about a flash and was quoted $445. That's quite a lot just for the computer which has already been worked over for the supercharger.

I have a 46RE transmission and an extra 5.9 4x4 AT computer (non flashed, but dealer upgraded) for sale.

I bought the second computer because I wasn't sure that the engine came with one. E-mail me if you would like to buy either, the transmission I was told had 42k miles on it. It comes with everything because I don't need any of it. I'm in the Baltimore / Washington D.C. area.

Why do you think that Roadway is a hassle?

I would bet that the computer won't work. The fact that it has been flashed previously doesn't matter. You should be drivable using the spare while the other one is reflashed. Personally I think flashing is a ripoff but they got you by the balls because there are no options. Nothing like making 800 bucks an hour and you thought lawyers were expensive.
