What I am looking for is, what performance gains could I see and installing a high lift cam, are there anymore components that I should replace? Also any suggestions of a cam would be great!!!

Ok, what cam are you looking at and what do you consider a "high lift cam?"

Before you worry about exhaling what are you going to do about the engine's ability to inhale? Larger throttle body? Better air intake?

Installing a cam is a lot of work and won't give you a lot in return unless you do everything else first.

I have a fipkII cold air. I like it but it seems no one here does. I really don't know what cam I am looking at. I have only just begun to look and am looking for input from this forum as to which is a good way to go!

first thing i would do is decide where you want the power the new cam can bring. down low for towing, up high for racing or just extra cruising power? after that decision, you'll need to find out what else needs to be done (e.g. head porting, bigger TB, intake manifold mods or replacement) so you can take full advantage of that new cam. my .02

take your time and don't rush anything. RESEARCH. & good luck
