Next time you want to make 3 posts in a row bashing a vendor, do it without typing in all caps, and try not to do it within 10 minutes of one another. And don't respond to your own posts, thats just lame.

Well, after almost a month from ordering my Fastman is on its way!!! Can't wait. Dan does seem like a great guy. Answered all my questions so far and told me to call him if I have any problems. To each thier own; I guess! I did a fair amount of research before ordering and NEVER heard anyone complain about a FASTMAN TB or Dan's customer support.

Well after the long wait, I received my TB today from thefastman.com and to be honest I am dissapointed. I really don't "feel" much if any of a difference. Maybe if I would have done this as a first mod I would feel bigger gains? Looking at the TB you can definitely see the difference over stock in boring. It looks like he did a nice job, but like I said I just can't tell the difference in my 4.7L and probably will not be buying it for my other 4.7L. Maybe later Ill be able to tell the difference; I'm goin on about a 45min drive, so Ill be playin around with the truck a little more. I reset the computer before driving and let it idle for 10min as instructed before my test run...

I'm actually still dissapointed in my Fastman TB. Maybe I should have gotten the 70mm, but he insisted the 68mm has more than enough flow than the 4.7L will ever use.

No noticeable improvement in performance. Feels just as it did with the stock TB.

The dakotas need about 500 miles for the computer to reset and adapt to new modifications. The O2 sensors before and after the Catalytic converter(s) are taking readings and constantly adjusting fuel / spark timeing. If you want to see your results quicker, reset your PCM by disconnecting the battery lead to your computer. Wait 5 minutes. Re-connect and drive it around for a while.

The other solution is to continue to add stuff to your truck. The combined effect of multiple mods magnify the performance of the single mod. If installing a new TB isn't doing it for you, you may need to change your intake and/or exhaust. If the TB made 5 HP before the in/out mods, then it will probably make 7HP afterwards.

I stand behind Dan. He has better service and product than the other aftermarket companies out there.

Dan does seem nice. I just don't feel any gains. I did reset the PCM and after 2 trips to Chicago I am well over 500 miles on the new TB. A lot of people report great gains with their FastMan TB. I guess I am just one of the unlucky ones.

Do not feel bad about not feeling the gains. I bought the F&B TB and I felt NOTHING!!!! I garentee you that the F&B cost more than the Fastman.

The main difference that I feel with my Fastman 46mm TB is the throttle response, from off idle up to the redline.

If your looking for a "major" power increase, than you're right, it's not going to add 30hp.

These are heavy trucks powered by a weak engine, with very little technology. I love my V6, but I do know its limitations.

I have made ALL of the usual mods found on this forum......And more. They have all made a nice difference, but it's still no power house.

Don't be a hater. I did an aftermarket throttle-body(from a reputable source),180 thermostat, and a hypertech P.P. at the same time. I didn't feel much of a diference. So much for a 30hp ad on. (20hp hypertech, 20hp throttle body+themostat - 10hp bull$hit).15.0s before,, 15.0s after

I don't think I was expecting much. I was just expecting to feel something. I knew it wouldn't be a big gain. People were just raving about thefastman, so that lead to expectations. Like I said maybe if this was my only mod, I would have noticed a difference. Who knows. But to be honest, I would only recommend this as a later mod. if any. I think the stock TB did a great job and probably didn't even need to be replaced for the 4.7L.

The big question is what were you expecting? From a TB you might get .1-.2 in a 1/4 run. To be honest I certainly can't feel that difference through the butt-dyno. The only mod that I _felt_ was the HO cams.

In order to justfy your mods you need to measure it somehow. The 2 best ways that I am aware of are a dyno run or get a G-Tech. I chose to go the G-tech route, and wish I'd done it long ago. I validated what Superchips did, and what air intake worked best on my truck.
