well the guy i deal with been working on his 2000 r/t and he said for the time and money i wont gain much with the mods that i have done so if someone can explain and convince that the mopar cam is worth it let me know bc if i get any other cam i risk the check engine light to go on and i fail emissions
thanks for the help

The Mopar Perf. Magnum RT cam (P5249549)works with the stock intake, even better with the M1, has been around for several years and was the only choice for quite a while. It has moderate lift numbers...... also happens to be blower-friendly if you decide to go that route later on. There are hotter cams out there, but this is a good cam (really takes off above 4,000rpm) that MP had certified as emissions-legal in applications through 2000 model year. This roughly coincided with the phase-out of the 5.2 and 5.9 engines. MP states it's good for 46HP and 51 lb/ft torque when used with an HP air filter and HP engine controller. The controller is good for about 7 peak HP, so don't sweat it. This cam works well with the stock computer which keeps the regular gas option open. If you want the HP controller, you typically need to run premium.
