Yea, Todd, I experiemented with it on the interstate, upon entrance,

I maxed out in 2nd gear at 5,000 rpms, barked the tires hitting third, and I noticed it didn't Jump and take off as much as it did when I shifted at 4,500, or 4,800,

so I guess if you are at the strip, when you shift is a big factor, Because there is that little gap in the engine, shift too soon, you are screwed, shift too late the same, it just has to be right

I have had the truck for about a year and a half, and it has 80,000 miles on it, I hit it hard about once a week, maybe twice, and it still runs good, it only pings when I accelerate a little,

(either the ping, or I need to change my Header Gaskets, because of a leak)

also I heard that if you run it hard everynow and then it is better than babying it, then hitting it hard, because it cleans the carbon out.

I am glad that the 4.7 is a tough motor, I just had a Tune up as well, it runs better than before, so I hope to see fair gains from the Tuner

Hey Todd, I wanted to know what the torque gain was on the Super Chips tuner in 2000 to 3500 RPM range. I remembered a pretty big gain down low. That's what I always look for for towing and hauling. Thanks.

I hope it is a fair gain in low end, I need more Tq to pull my tires, and for hauling firewood and mulch, and the ocasional trailer.

deerridge,-care to explain that screen name.

Anyways-The torque curve, you have to remember, that I put down 219hp, and 288ft/lbs RW without any tuner. This non SC's curve was on 87 octane, with about the same temp and humidity as the day I went back with the 93oct.-it's printed on the graphs.

The torque curve, is flat as a pancake from 2100(where it starts) to 2600-we're talking flat, and it added about 5ft/lbs here(2100-2600). In this flat part of the curve, it was 258ft/lbs w/o S/C's
and about 263ft/lbs on the perf setting.

Then it climbs steeper so at 3grand, the w/o S/C's was 270ft/lbs, and the with S/C's was about 280ft/lbs.-at 3000rpm.

From there, it climbs a little steeper, and maxes it's torque in a flat graph again, from 3500-3700. w/o was 288.26, and the with was 300.47.

From there, the torque curve slopes off like a beginner ski slope, then like intermediate, and at 5700rpm, that sucker is double diamond!!

Interestingly enough, the max HP was around 4300 rpm. From there it slopes off and after 5100rpm, the HP falls below 200, and falls steadily from there.

Thanks Todd,

Deerridge is the name of my farm. Deer Ridge Farm and Saddlery, www.deerridgefarm.com if you want to look it up.

The gains aren't as high done low as I remembered. It probably wouldn't be worth it for me. I pull horse trailers and farm stuff with mine. The 2 to 3k range is all that counts for that. NO fast starts or stops with livestock on board.
