I really do not see how you can beat "adrenalitis" with a 2005 Toyota Tacoma., I beat my Adrenalitis with a Dodge Dakota, I also do not understand how they say that the 245 HP V6 is the S**t, compared to the 260 HP 4.7L HO for the Dakotas. and with a few mods you can go above and beyond stock.

I would like to see that V6 pull, and haul, and I would like to hook up to the rear end of a 2005 Tacoma and jerk the rear diff to pieces.

People believe hype. Ford did it with the "trunk decklid lip spoiler in the 80's T-Bird, when, as far as I know, it was first used on the '68 Charger. Now someone (Lexus?) is claiming to have developed the headlight that points where you're steering, when Preston Tucker pioneered this in the 1950's in his Tucker automobile. Some other foreign SUV maker is claiming to have the first roll-down tailgate window, when that was actually (as far as I know) first used on the early 70's Jeep Wagoneer. A lot of the gizmos and gadgets in cars today were actually seen on the American showcar circuit in the 1960's. Those things were considered useless and cost-adding then, but now it's all about the gadgets and the hype that goes with it.
P.S., save the flames. I'm not trying to malign any particular company, though some seem more guilty than others.

I remember seeing the Tucker movie, and I remember seeing the turning front light, I never thought of that kind of stuff, they really didn't work out back then, I guess they work out now, because back then it seemed to futuristic.

but anyway, I will take my Dodge over a Japanese Truck any day.
