 Subject: Need more power for my 318

i want to add some more power to my 97 cc 4x4 5.2 i've been thinking about new heads, headers, intake , throttle body.... but i know in combination they will cancel eachother out... which is the best sure fire way to gain optimum HP and Torque???

What kind of power are you looking for?
If you are looking to tow, it will be different than if you want to have a 12 second 1/4 mile time.
If you are just looking for a little more get up and go, stoplight to stoplight, or to tow a trailer, you may want to look into a set of gears. 4.10's seem to be the gear of choice for 31-33" tires.

Just really looking to have some more get up and go along with better performance... not trying to build a 10second truck.. just want some more power to keep me pushed into my seat

I have a 92 318. The following mods really woke up the truck - M1 intake, ported TB, K&N filter and Mopar PCM. A gearing change would help too, but that is expensive for a 4x4 since you will have to do both axles. I have 4.10s waiting to go into mine. A good set of headers, 1.7 rockers and eventually a head swap will round things out.

who told you that? tell you what, get yourself one of those air raid, helix style throttle body spacers. that will get you about 50 hp for about $35.

those air raid throttle body spacer do apsolutly nothing they dont help gas milage or give you horsepower.
