If you read the description it is just a repair kit.

Repairs Valve Body and Pump. PREVENTS Clutch Burnt Clutches and Rough Lock Up.

I saw "shift-kit" and got all gitty. Well I called Transgo - got some idiot on the line - complete friggin idiot.
Asked the dude if it would give me a more aggressive shift between gears, and is any comp. tuning required? (his response) "These parts are superior quality, and is tunable to my liking." Just kept repeating himself.
Told him I would call back later and speak to someone who know what the hell they are doing.

I've been waiting patiently for this kit to come out. I've been looking at apsprecision.com and their saying "within 30 days" its been just over 30 but nothing yet. I've emailed them with no response. They are selling the transgo kit and i'm just waiting till they say it's actually for sale then i'm going to call them to find out what it's all about. I hope it's an actuall kit that will firm up the shifts. I'd be wary if it's purely a flash. I've had mine flashed by kenne bell and my shift from 1 to 2 is great but the shift from 2 to 3 is extrememly sloppy! I need the problem solved before i go back to the track. Just going to burn the tranny up otherwise.

How will they make a shift kit for a transmission with no mechanical valve body to modify?????????

My 1-2 and 2-3 is fine unless I'm just barely touching the gas. I notice if you really dog it then you seem to REALLY feel the torque management.

1/3 throttle or more and mine smaps pretty good.

This kit isn't anything. The 45rfe can have the accumulator screws work themselves loose or break and the overdrive accumulator piston breaks through. Only fix WAS buying a new valve body. This plate fixes the problem.

keno, had that happen to mine at 62k. They put in a new valve body but after driving, Dodge tech. was not happy with it. When they pulled the tranny apart they saw a huge mess inside. My private warranty paid for a rebuilt tranny that when the dealership heard who was building it said no problem put it in. The new tranny is much better than the old one ever was and the shifts are much more firmer. Very happy with the job the dealership did and the company that rebuilt the tranny.
