MSD. Too many people have had the Accel fail on them. You can get the direct fit MSD replacement or a BlasterSS coil. The SS coil works pretty good IMO.

If you are stock, you will not notice a thing. A better coil has more spark, which translates into a better combustion burn. It really does not make that much of a difference until you are heavily modded or running boost/spray. At that point you also need an ignition contoller.

I have an SS coil and 6AL on my truck. I did not notice much of a power gain at all. It did smooth the idle out a great deal though, and seemed to rev a tad quicker.

If you are only hooking up a coil, it is just 2 wires. Snip the ones going to the stock coil and hook them up to the new one. It uses blade terminals. If you want you can pick up a couple 2-wire flat pack trailer wiring connectors. They make a decent quick release connection so you can go back to stock should you need to.
