Anyone have one or another type? I have one on order and can't wait! I hope it'll spice up the old 96. Something different.

I have one in my '98. It's a very nice piece, but it will be noisier than the stock shifter. The throw is approximately 1/3 shorter and has a very solid feel. If you do a search, you'll find a number of posts on the Hurst. The most important thing to remember, do not use the rubber insulator between the bottom unit and the shifter stick. Bolt it metal to metal and torque it to specs. If you use the insulator, the stick WILL loosen up and it will start hitting the dash. It's a pretty easy installation. The biggest pain is getting the console off and back on. The shifter itself is a piece of cake.
