i have a 2004 4.7 quad cab dakota with a mac performance intake. cat back dual 40 series flowmaster,and a stage 2 jet chip.

krc 4.7L/200 camshafts.. how hard is the install, anything to look out for, and how was performance after install?

i have never replace cam shafts before. im probably thinking crazy for wanting to do this to such a new truck!

Probably so, but some on this board have posted instructions with pics, and others report that they had the work done by their local Dodge Service dept.
I think they had Jeep 4.7 HO cams done this way. I don't recall if any had aftermarket cams installed by Dodge.

I did this when my truck was still fairly new, and never regretted it. Expect most of the torque gains of the HO package. First time I replaced cams too; toughest part was R&R of valve covers. I believe the KRC cams you refer too are the stock HO cams; that # is for their least radical cams, right ?

the cams im looking at are $249.00 at krc and they have a upgraded version with springs and lash caps for $699.00 which would prob. be best for me since i have a 2wheel drive but i think the just the cam replacement would do me justice when i get my headers and probably just modify my tb
