How do you remove the air box snorkel off of the air box? id like to bring the air intake through the grill but dont want to damage the air box by removing the snorkel. Thanks

HAHA sorry about that, im burned out from a long day. Its a 1999 CC with the 5.2L and an auto tranny. Thanks Mr. Knowitall even tho there might have been a little scarcasm there i can laugh at my own stupidity. Thanks

Try this.
1. Remove air filter.
2. Look inside filter box.
3. See how it's connected.
That's how I would do it.

HEY WOW UR A FRICKIN GENIUS!!! I wonder if i looked in there before and theres some kind of clip that locks it in? Yeah i figured that out for myself. All i want to know is how to get the snorkel off like i stated. Its a**holes like boxer that make this site a joke. Very very few people take the time to help you and thats what the site is about.

Evan, I'm not trying to be a smart ass or flaming
you with what I'm about to say but, if you can't
figure out how to remove a air filter housing
from your own truck on your own, you would be
better off never doing any kind of mods to it.
You're only gonna get yourself into other problems
and you're gonna wish you never touched it in the
first place.
Get a friend to help you...

RadioMan is right, Evan. Accept it.
If you don't have the tiny little bit of aptitude necessary to figure out this small thing, best keep your fingers away from the engine compartment and pay someone else to do it for you.
My previous post was asinine I agree, but if you spend a little bit of time studying the way those two pieces fit together, you should be able to figure out on your own how they come apart.
Remember: These things are built in a hurry on an assembly line, so a lot of things on our trucks just snap into other pieces to make the assembly process easy, cheap and quick. The up side is that they also can be taken apart easily.
