Message:
I have a set of headers that are suposed to be for a 4.7ltr dakota. I got them from a buddy who said that they would fit. I never installed them before selling my truck. I'll take a few pics if anybody is interested. I'll take any reasonable offer.
They are new and never been installed. tubular chrome.

Long tube or short tubes?

I'd like a set of long tubes. Short tubes probably don't do much over the stock manifolds.
So I am told.

They are short tube. look to be a direct replacement for the factory manifolds.

Anybody? I'm cleaning out my garage and would like to get rid of them. I'll let them go cheap.

Whats your e-mail I'll take a few pics and then we can go from there.
As far as price I'm open to reasonable offers, I'm sure shipping wouldn't be to much They don't weigh much and they arn't very big.

What state do you live in?

It's probably not a good time for me. the wife would freak after just spending money on my recent pc based stereo system.

I wouldn't mind buying a set fairly cheap. I'd cut the stock pipes off before the collector and make home made long tubes just to experiment.

These would be great if you plan to do a little exerimenting because I just want to get them out of my garage so it'll save you some cash.

My understanding of headers is that short fatter runners are good for low-mid power increase while longer narrower runners are good for mid-high end power. Longer runners are able to take advantage of the scavenging effect(increased velocity) and make more power in the higher rpms (good for racing). The shorter larger runners increase power by increasing the flow(volume), which is good for low end and mid range power.
Thats at least what I've been told.
I know it to be true for intake runners, and for turbo manifolds.

Bummer.
I've been kind of busy the last few days and forgot to look. Right now I'm actually in between calls (work) and just leaching my computer off of a wireless connection.

I'd be curious what you sold them for so.
