I have been looking for a muffler for a while. I listened to several mufflers and decided i liked the Dynomax Ultra Flo. Things were all going good til I found out that the Ultra Flo uses fiberglass. So I am wondering if anybody has this muffler and can clue me in to its lifespan before the glass burns out. For a pretty expensive muffler like this one, i would hate to have to replace it every couple of years.

98-99 r/t's come stock with an ultra-flo. i got a 99 and a year and a half ago i installed a 3" welded ultraflo in place of the 2-1/2" muffler. no problems at all, still sounds real good. i think i might upgrade to a spintech muffler you might want to check them out, i think they sound real good too

yeah, i plan on runnin no cats also, but no headers yet, not enough money, but anyway, on dynomax's website the Ultra Flo's are listed with CRF (continuous roving fiberglass) technology, but they say it can withstand 1500 degrees, so the new question is how hot are exhaust gases?
