Hey guys

What can I expect from H.O cams and intake on a 2002 4.7/Auto. I have Gibson headers/cat-back and K&N FIPK. I havent touched the ECU yet and may not. Tell me what you know

It is a Gibson setup with headers and a single 3" catback. Still has cat.

How many cats? My 01, 4.7 had three, the large one without the O2 sensors mysteriously disappeared from my truck. It's alot louder with the stock muffler still in place.

Do you have any before and after dyno's?

I guess you know what people say about the stock headers?

FlDak's dyno results showed 15HP/25TQ with the HO cams and a stock non-HO intake. The real kicker was a "sweet spot" in the power band around 3400 rpm delivering a 25HP/45TQ improvement. The HO intake shows improvement at slightly higher rpm at the expense of low end torque.

The cams alone will give you most of the torque increase of the HO package.

Lead, follow, or get out of the way

the cams give you the 'only' torque increase of that combination.

jasons dakota - how do you figure that? You don't think a slight bump in compression would also increase torque ?

Lead, follow, or get out of the way
