Subject: O2 simmulator problem

I have a 2002 R/T. The problem I have encountered trying to put mid length headers on is I gotta remove the pre-cats. Ok well I thought "this won't be a problem I will just order some O2 simms for the post cat sensors and remove all the cats". When I got the simms they had different connectors than my truck's harness. The main thing that has me puzzled is the fact that they are listed to work on 1996-2002 dodge vehicles. The easy way to fix this in my mind would be to cut and splice the connectors from the O2 sensors I am removing to the simmulators. Do all the O2 sensors from 96-up (OBDII)use the same wiring scheme and voltage (O2 sensor signal, sensor ground, ASD relay output, heater ground)? I am guessing if the voltages and wiring are the same then I could go on and splice them. Someone please educate me.

I had the same problem when I got my 02 sensors from Dan at fastman. I have a 2001 dakota and the harnesses didnt fit. I just used the harness from the 02 sensors and everything worked out

Thank you for the reply. I will probably end up splicing -not a big deal I guess-. I just hope those damn things work. It would be kind of hard to return them being spliced. Oh well "trial and error" guess thats what its all about. Better than a jab in the eye with a sharp stick eh.
