 Subject: Tranny problem.

in my '98 V6 Dakota, i have a rebuilt transmisison. it was running great for quite a while. lately though, it has been acting up, then getting rapidly worse and worse. If i run full throttle, the 1st to second shift is firm, and right at 5000 rpms. But... my 2nd to 3rd shift will hit the rev limiter at 5300rpms without shifting. and if i dont run it wide open, then the shift is much later than it should be. I checked the tranny fluid, and the TV cable, and neither had any problems, but everything is just getting worse..
Any help is much appreciated.

oh and uh... when i am coming to a stop, the truck shakes really bad, and sometimes it will even stall (its an automatic).

bah, i cant remember everything. the shift from first to second is really slow. like, the shift itself takes nearly 3 or 4 seconds.

and um, sometimes when i am not quite giving it full throttle, it will go to shift, but completely miss the gear, and go into neutral then it will fix itself.

You're just one more of millions that have had
tranny problems. Even the so called *rebuilds* are
total JUNK!
My advice, trade the truck in and have it over
with OR find a used tranny at the junk yard that
has not been touched by a so called *transmission
expert*. THERE ARE N O N E !!
Been there, done that too many times!

how is the power. My 318 auto in my ram 2500 4x4 seemed to do the some I thought something was wrong with the tranny. I thought it would not deliver the power and stuff. it would shift crazy. stall on decelleration. It was a partly plugged Cat.
