ID4x4, I read in one of your posts that you have a Rancho lift with 33s". What year is your dak? I have a 00 Quad with the Rancho 3" on OME 01 (16" insted of the 00 15" wheels) rims with 265x75x16s" and have LESS then 1/4" of space between the tire and the new location of the upper ball joint. What rims are you running with the 33s" and what is the back spacing on them? Are they 15 or 16" wheels? Any help you can give me would be great.

I have the stock rims on a 01, maybe I cheat, but I run a 285/75/16 tire. I guess rounding up, my current tire is a 33 by 11.5, maybe rounding down I have a 32 by 11.5, but specs for my tire are about 32.8 inches tall, I think about the same as a 33 in a 15 inch rim

Yea, the 285x75 is basicly a 33". So, I can run the 285's with out the tire rubbing the upper ball joint? When I had the lift insalled @ 4wheelparts they told me I could not run the 285 due to the increassed withd (not the hieght) of the tire that it would rub the upper ball joint. You are not having that issue? How much space do you have between the tire and ball joint?

No rubbing on the ball joints on my 01. I wanted to run a 305/75/16, but installer said they would rub the ball joint and I would need to trim a little unless I went with a aftermarket rim with different backspacing. I decided to wait until I did the body lift, however, now I am focusing on performance first (cams and gears) you should try the search feature and archives here. There's tons of info from people who have done all of this stuff, it's where I researched most of my mods. Hope that helps.
