not saying i would pull you sideways, but i have yet to lose to a dakota in a race. My truck is two wheel drive and i am soon to add the deckplate mod if you know what that is. Youre truck is tricked out so im not saying i would beat you but stock vs stock a taco will kill a kota in a race 3.4 vs 4.7. Oh and if i wanted to pour as much money into it as you have i would just get the TRD supercharger and then we would see who got pulled sideways.

Whoops, wasn't my intent for this thread to turn into a pissing match. Too bad when someone asks a genuine question and gets some very usefull information and one lurker starts talking smack. Freemdom of speech thing I guess.

I've only got around $250 in actual mods on my truck. The cams. TB porting and the rest was home brew mods.
I guess that's pouring money into my truck.

I just raced an SRT-4 and he couldn't get by me until he spooled his turbo in 2nd gear about 50+ MPH. After that he was going to show me his rear bumper. But we never had enough room until the last race where I let off to turn anyway. (He probably was pissed I didn't try longer).
My truck isn't that much faster than it was in stock form. I dare a Taco to take on a SRT-4 and do that good.
If I had my 4.7 in a Regular Cab 2WD Dakota it would be bad a$$. I needed 4 doors but the guys with the RC's must have lots of fun beating down 3.4 Liter Taco's!

My best friend has a 03 V6 Taco two wheel drive and I have a 03 4.7 dakota. We race all the time at the drag and the street and a spank him every time even when our trucks were both stock. I even beat him worse now that I have my cams, intake, exuast, and TB. Its cool that you like your taco but don't come to a dodge page to try to be cool.

I see lots of them Taco's with them fake duals loud as sh*t. Too bad they SOUND like sh*t AND are slow.

Literally, V6's just don't sound good with a loud exhaust.
Just look how pretty much any V8 Mustang will turn heads, stock or not. My truck is the closest thing to that. It even sounds better than some stangs.
Even if I wanted to get and make a V6 fast, they just sound crappy. They should be kept quiet. I'm talking from experience too. I've learned my lesson. They sound like sh*t no matter what muffler/pipes you try.
Nothing sounds like a V8. V10's don;t even have the same sound (I know people will hate that) but most V10's sound funky to me like a straight six.

H or Harrison whom ever you are,

If you live somewhere around Texas, then tell me which Wednesday, Friday or Saturday you can Come to San Antonio Raceway here in Texas and I will be glad to meet you there and even pay your entry fee at the gate, if you want to put your money where your mouth is. And to make it affordable to you we can do it $50 a pass till your paycheck is gone. My Basicly Stock 4.7L Club Cab against your Taco Tin. You seem to have the advatage since you have never been beat by a Dakota.

Well since you can't make it I'll tell you what the outcome would be. You would be in the poor house before we left. I have ran so many of your beloved Tacos even the ones with the TuRD SC package and none of them have even offered a time slip in the same ET 'second' as my Dakota. Maybe you have a freind down here in Texas that would like to 'represent'. I'll be glad to see them down at SAR. I have almost 600 passes on my truck down the track and 57,000 hard miles, 13,000 autobahn miles at cruise over 125 mph and my truck is no where near death. it is just as strong as it was the day I got it. The Germans are way more superior engineers to the Japanese. That isn't brag, it is fact. I'm sure someone in the Carolinas with a Dak would be glad to come see you.

Your Honda, Mitsu and any other Jap crap, wouldnt last a week. My father works on more imports than fords and pontiacs combined. It is sad how many of these little cars and trucks have so many problems with the reliability and they just suck. Its almost clear to me now that even toyota has to supercharge things to make them scoot. I can guranttee you if you came to texas I would out haul more azz than you I could out tow and I could probably out doughnut you even with my peg leg rear-end. I had raced an 00' taco in my 3.9 and I was stock and he beat me but not as bad as a 4.0 ranger did and I heard the tacos were just a fast midsize truck, Whatever. Some here know the facts and others dont, and OBVIOUSLY you dont because toyota never made an engine for 30 years much less if they have been around that long!

I can understand you find that hard to believe. You live in a dream world, suffer from tunnel vision. Take that thing to a real track with a starting line and lights and run it, get some time slips and come back and post a scan of them with a picture of your number on the winsheild like you see on mine that matches the time slip. Stop flooring it next to some old Lady in a Dak that doesn't even realize you are there and then saying you have never been beat by a Dak. Damn Ricers.

At Bandemere on the 25th of July at TRUCK FEST there was 2 Tacos there both with the TuRD SC. One 4x4 and one 2x4 (my class). The 4x4 posted a 17.6 time and the 2x4 posted an impressive 16.3 time on the wind shield, and even at 5800 feet elevation me and another 2x4 Dak had to spot him more than a half second. Good Day.
