i'm having a guy install my ho manifold. $100 plus parts. he said the iat is different. not a screw in but a twist on/snap on. he ordered one from the dealer should be in tomorrow. is this a necessary thing? is it expensive. can i just relocate iat then block the hole. that would be great. hurry and post he's doing it in the morning. i need to tell him what to do

Yes , You could just relocate and plug the hole.
If the ' new ' location is "good" , you will
gain even more....
