Sorry to be adding another exhaust page, but I've been reading literally for hours and have nothing answered. Who thought getting a straight "yes" or "no" be so hard.
My situation is this. 2000 4.7L CC, auto 3:55, K&N filter, HO cams, can nave the HO manifold installed is needed. (sitting in my basement now). Will be getting an F&B 70mm TB, and Kenne Bell prog. I need an exhaust that'll compliment these mods and give me performance. Sound is sec. Stock or a little louder would be nice. Gibbson, Borla, Mag, Dynomax, MBRP, or Flow? 2.5" or 3"? single or TRUE dual? (please say tue daul :)) high flow cat, no third cat, or stock?

Canadak, with your set up, true duals will be perfect. Go 2.5" each side. Use two highflow cats and a X pipe. For your Computer flash do a search fore Mike Leach, or contact KRC performance. They have the ability to tune it just right for all your mods. Your truck will scream from idle to shift. These to mods put all the others togethers. Most guys have gained almost 40 HP at the wheels from these two mods. Enjoy!

Hey, I know I am not helping, but I was wondering what are you going to do with your stock TB off of your truck, I heard that only 2000 and below TB's will bolt right up to my 3.7L. Just wondering what you are plan on doing with it. Thanx

Def. true dual. Get magnaflow, the sound isnt very loud but it sounds sooooo smooth, like butter. At idle it isnt really that loud at all, just a low rumble, however, when you mash the gas it will scream.

yup true dual would be nice. just paid a visit to the local muffler shop, and the setup i want will be a little dfficult. Kinda was hopping to get the exits out the passenger side infront of the tire. Like the Lightning. BUT... clearence is an issue after my 2/4 belltech drop. They recomended a magnaflow kit. single in- dual out. Not too happy about that. I've seen an r/t around my place with that setup, i'll ask him how he did it.

Android.
With the high flow cats and exhaust, is true i'm bound to lose some bottom end? I"ll most likely more than make it up with the other mods yes?

Guess my TB will be good for nothing really. I'll probobly hold on to it for a while. If I can't come to terms with the price of a 70mm, I'll probobly try and bore it out to 68mm. But if i do decide to get rid of it. I'll post it here first.

I have to agree. I like the sound of the mag myself. And the way you describe it, it's just what i want. That sleeper sound... until you mash the gash! Any magnaflow in particular you recommend?

Again... thanks for the help guys

Canadak, you will not lose any low end with the true duals. Only great gains thoughout the entire rpm rnage.

The magnaflow cat back exhaust will not help much at all with performance. It will sound much better though. The biggest restiction in the exhaust is the Y pipe off the manifolds. If true duals is not an option, have a good shop mandrel bent a new Y pipe that is 2.25/2.5 each pipe into a 3" single.
