Does anyone have any information, opinions, and/or experience with the Powertrax "No-Slip Traction System"? Here's a link...

I'm considering it, the price is around $400. It's either that or a Sure-Grip differential. What ya think? Open differentials make me sick;)

BTW, I've got a '98 Dakota Sport CC w/ 5.2L, Auto, 2wd, and 3.5 rear ratio.

I asked that question here before. I checked with other boards and it seems that the people that have them using for off road and as street
use seem to like them a lot.Although they said to get the no-slip for street use and not locked.

I just installed the No-Slip and so far I cannot complain. It is almost as quiet as the limited slip yet is a true locker. The only time I noticed it is if I accelerate into a turn and then you hear it click. Other than that it is very on road friendly. Off road, since it is a full locker, it will outperform any limited slip. I have heard that it is not as quiet with a 5 speed versus an automatic so for "Dak2" you might be better off with the limited slip.

I have the Powertrax No-Slip. The No-Slip provides a 100% locked differential unlike a conventional Limited Slip (such as the factory Trac-Lock). The Limited Slip does what it says, it limits slip with the use of clutches. The advantages of the new Powertrax No-Slip is that it is quieter and more street friendly. The only down side is it is a bit more expensive than other lockers or limited slips.
