Alright, I don't want to end up repeating things said on the "Top 10 Stupidities", but I probably will anyway.

I have a 99 3.9L v6 2dr 4x2. Its a great truck and it runs great too, but I want it to get a little bit better mileage and wouldn't complain about extra power.

I want to buy a catback exhaust, but don't want something thats going to rattle the house when I try sneakin in at night. I hear Midas has the Ravin systems, and I also heard of the flowmasters. I'm also keeping it street legal, so the cat. is staying. Any suggestions?
Are there any products out there that sound like crap on a v6 that I should avoid?

Later on I'll get some kind of intake system, and was wondering what kinds of products are available, besides a do it yourself kit using rain gutter materials.

Thanks!

Don't get too discontented, when those mods, in objective terms, produce little or no gains.

If they work on your 3.9, that's great.

you could either make one for cheap, or buy a nice one with a heat shield for around 215 or so,. that is the k&n fipk intake system
