do any of ya'll think an old air cleaner/filter from a carberated 360 would fit my 00 rt 5.9...my father said they sounded real good under alot of accel. and we were wondering if it would fit.

Yes and no. The mounting flange is the same. A flat or slightly dropped 14" base sits on there easily. The throttle body has the retainer bolt hole off center, so you need to compensate for that. Either drill a new hole, or get one of the newer bent retainer bolts. There isn't much overhead room. Use a dropped base or a 2" element.

It is noisy. I thought it was too much noise and removed it.

And don't even start that whole paper vs. K&N bit again ;)

Well this morning I bought one, that was before I saw the reply I got a holley that ended up being too big so i took it back and got a 10 inch edelbrock and it worked fine I like the noise mainly because i am 17 and so to me louder is better I also like the space it frees up in my engine bay i dont however think it made too much of a difference in performance maybe just like a couple hp or so i like it though i gave the k&n box filter that i had in my truck to one of my buddies with a ram
