I have access to some cheap (FREE) 19 lb injectors from a 92 Mustang 5.0. Will these be an improvement? My mods so far are; ported TB, 3923's, TPS at .76, K&N drop in with airbox mod, removed clutch/fan, & I have no precats. This is on an 02 Dak 4.7 QC AWD. 180 T'stat & relocated IAT are happening this weekend.

If they are free then go for it. I would find out how big your stock injectors are first. You wont notice any gains from bigger fuel injectors. I have 24lb injectors and they didnt do anything excpet make my exhaust smell a little more from running rich. Then again i wasnt looking for gains, i was just prepping for a supercharger. It does ride a LITTLE bit smoother, but only a little.

First of all, I have a 5.2 which uses the 19lb injectors. Does the 4.7 use 19 lb also? It may use 21lb. If that's the case, you'll be worse off. How many miles did the Mustang have on it? If it had more miles than your truck, don't do it. They're dirtier than yours. If they are Bosch design III's and low mileage get them you'll like them. They have 5 tiny holes instead of 1 large one which atomizes your fuel better, therefore, making it burn more efficiently. Make sure you check all the O rings. Alot of people tend to mess them up when removing the injectors.

The injectors were high mileage (75,000). I had planned to put them in an ultrasonic cleaning tank at work. That should get rid of all the junk/debris that could cause problems. The car was running strong when the injectors were pulled. I have new o-rings for them already. One question though. How do you tell which injectors you have? Are they color coded?
