Have you checked the Hollander Interchange Manual? My local library has one. Almost every bone yard has one, too.

Bad idea. The 4.7 pushes the NV3500 to it's max rated tork of 300ftlbs with only minor mods. The 360 will twist this tranny into shards in no time. It's not an issue of fit. It's a matter of strength.

New Venture is a joint Chrysler/GM project. The NV3500 is one of their products. Chevy had enough sense to only use this tranny behind V6's. Dodge, as usual, puts too much power through too little tranny. Sorry I don't have a better tranny to suggest, but bOB had the right idea with the Hollander Interchange Manual.

Let us know what combo you end up with.

TNjones,
As far as i know the NV3500 came in the rams with the 5.2's. It is rated for 300 foot pounds of torque in a 7200 pound vehicle. I have heard or people putting over 500 hp and same torque and have gone through 2 rearends at the race track and there tranny is still in one peice. Anyone else got any comments?

As far as Torque on the tranny goes,

I think 'Duner' with his T/C 4.7 still has his nv3500 in one piece.
