I am considering a Kenne Bell supercharger for my '00 5.9 QuadCab.

Performance is right for my needs: towing.

For anyone who has installed a Kenne Bell, what, other than a serious increase in testicular mass, can I expect in changes with regards to day-to-day drivability?

Input appreciated,...Doc

I have had the kenne bell on my 4.7 for over a year now. I had a few problems with the map sensor to be honest but some moving of vacum lines fixed the problem and i have had none since. If you want a kit for everyday driving this is the one. You can keep it out of boost all day but if you want it it's there as soon as you press the gas past half"ish". The directions are great!! Have fun........

RaZoR1,
Thanks for the input!
I've gotten information from ProCharger and Kenne Bell, and am kind of torn between them. The centrifugal ProCharger information looks good, but having power available instantly with the twin-screw blower seems to be a better option for my main purpose: towing. That is why I'm tending toward K.B..
Without your foot into it too much, have you noticed significant change in fuel economy for trip driving, or overall mpg?

Thanks again for your views, RaZoR1,

Doc

To be honest i can't tell ya. I would think that fuel milage would not change if your not into boost but i never get through a full tank of gas without using boost........ not that i drive the ccrap out of it but lets just say i like to accelereate HARD...... It will cost you more having to put in premium fuel but all chargers require that. I roughly get about 400 kms per tank. about 65-75 bucks to fill (Canadian). Considerably better when mostly highway. Have fun.... and you will.

RaZoR1,

Thanks for your experience.

I've gotten more depth with my research and have firmly decided on the Kenne Bell. A centrifugal needs to start to spool up to build boost. The P Bell twin screw has its boost going on from idle to being full boost by about 2,000 RPM, which is where my towing needs fall into place.

So, it seems like a blower no-brainer.

Do appreciate, Lad,...
