Subject: What to do?

Message:
Need some advise. I recently got an 01 QC 4.7 auto. I currently have 50K on it and would like to know what is recommended for maint. of this truck.
Assuming nothing was done before I got the truck, what where would I start. Obviously a tune up, but beyond that should I...
flush radiator?
change tranny fluid?
dif's fluid?
Grease front ball joints? (just kidding!)
change 02 sensors??
Clean TB?

and advise would be greatly appreciated...

Personally I wouldn't do half of that stuff unless the truck is not running right. The radiator, tranny, and diffs should all be fine unless the truck was not maintained before you got it. I would grease all chassis locations though. It never hurts to keep those lubed. It probably wouldn't be a bad idea to check the color of the coolant and see if it is dirty. If so, then consider flushing it. Check the tranny fluid, if it is dark, or smells burnt, then consider changing the filter and fluid. Cleaning the TB and intake wouldn't be a bad idea though, I'm sure it probably needs it, mine does and it has 58K miles. Otherwise, don't fix what isn't broke. You will just spend a bunch of money for no gain. Just my opinion, so take it or leave it...

Coolants not bad. I think the tranny fluid will be done at my next oil change.
How would I know if my 02 sensors were bad? I thought I read a post that recommended changing them out at 50K...

The truck runs fine, I guess. Kind of ruff idle and appears "slugish" at times...??? Thats what got me on this kick to see what should be done at and before 50K.
