Message:
I finally got my 390 broke in enough to start getting on it alittle, but I have got problem that has popped up. Does anyone know why the Tranny shifts out at 2800 to 3000 RPMS no matter how hard I lay into it? Sometimes it feels like it takes about 2-3 secs before it shifts. I tried minor adjustment on the TV cable, but nothing really works. All ideas are welcome.

Thanks,

BOB

One more tidbit for above. I was on the freeway and I pressed the gas pretty hard but not al the way to pass a car, I heard sometinging noise from under the truck. I thught it was maybe the cat. If that wasn't bad enough the ABS system growls kinda of like when you tun the igntion to the on position before you start it.

Please help me.

Thanks,

BOB

do you have the throttle valve lever attached to the tranny correctly?

sounds like it's not pulling enough... like it was on upside down (i did the same thing on my V6)

I never touched it, so I would say that it should be fine. May TV cable is stretched?
