 Subject: 02 Dakota R/T weight distribution

I have a 02 R/T CC. I would like to know what the weight distribution is on it if anyone knows. It has no mods yet hehehe. I used to drive a 96 Ram 1500 rc w/ a lb which is almost the same wheel base & length (pulled my R/T next to the old 1500) and pretty much the same drive train. With my R/T I can corner and out handle the 1500 (duh!)and it feels like I could out handle many sports cars. Anyway I wanna know what the distribution and the front weight and rear weight so I know how to build it up without really losing it's handling capablities.

If you really want to find out you can always take it to a metal salvage yard, they can weigh it all for you, just ask em. to get the right weights, just do it with only the front two wheels on, then only the rear, for your front to rear.... oh, I just thought of this, it might be on your door tag, for the gross vehicle weight.... but thats not exact.... honestly, most of the weight is obviously up front, so as long as you manage to gather good traction from your tires you should be in good shape... I've found my R/T to out handle most trucks at least, as well as alot of cars I've driven..

GVW won't tell you anything but the weight of the truck plus its max carrying capacity. Curb weight is what you need to know. Any loading station, mill, DOT station will have scales.
