I love how they're paying homage to the 'cuda. I noticed they even had put 'kota in the stripe on the side. Pretty nice graphic. Here's a pic of the Plymouth for those that were curious about the reference.

Yeah, I saw that. About time he did a Dak. Tired of seeing Chevs and Fords.

I asked this before, what happend to the other dude on Trucks? One season he was there, the next gone! The remaining guy never even mentions him even when doing a "what I did last season" episode!
I think he was killed and stuffed in one of those monster tires on the Hairy Hawler

That is an old episode. I think I first saw it a year or two ago. Wasn't the other guy the one that does Horsepower TV now? I might be getting him confused though.

Nope, not on Horsepower. There is *way* too much cheese on that show for me. I have a hard time weighing the little information I get from the show vs. having to watch those guys. It seems like they're constantly posing for the camera. They go from one pose to the next, all the time using their best "radio" voices. The information they provide is more geared towards inflating their egos so they sound cool than actually providing any real help. Give me Trucks any day.

the only thing I like about Horsepower is their limitless budget for stuff the average guy can only dream about. Trucks is slightly better, but still tends to do things on the expensive side. I for one would love to bolt on a chromed twin turbo to my Dak in one weekend, but, oh for the love of God, where did I put the big bag of cash I had?

Shade Tree Mechanic was pretty good. Not always power mods either, but real world repair on a budget. I think that one has since moved on to a more product oriented 30 minute advertisement.

I agree Trucks is probably the best of the lot right now, but still far beyond my measly budget. Still, they do have some good tips now and then.

I am just sitting here watching a rerun of HorsePower TV with Neil and Bob. They were doing a big thing on a Mopar small block build up. It was quite nice, but unless you broke into a bank machine who the heck could afford all that? I need a sponsor, thats my problem.
Now Overhaulin is one neat show. I would love someone to "steal" my ride and then give it back in 5 days all done up with a bunch of free stuff!!

I wonder how long before they start asking her to flaunt it a bit more to bring in more ratings?
Anyone have a Dak they have a good story for so we can get you on the show? It'd be great to see what Foose could do with a pickup.

He could do anything he wants to mine except put big heavy 22" rims on it. As long as I can keep the stock rims I'd be happy to have my ride on the show.

You know you'd get some Foose wheels, which means low profile. Most of the stories have something to do with cars being passed down and passed on from father to son. We'd need a good war story or something to pique their interest and make it a feel good story. :)

I don't care if they are Foose wheels I don't think they look good and I think they will cost me in performance.

I don't think they're that hot either. I'm not a huge fan of the low profile tires and huge rims that seem to be the fad now. I understand that aspect of your statement since it's an opinion, but I don't understand how it would hurt your performance?

I'm with you on the wheel issue, though I saw some really nice Foose double-six spoke design on an Avalanche yesterday, I think they were 20"s looked good.

I really like the looks of the 17" rims with 55 series rubber, especially with the hotchkis suspension which doesn't drop the truck too low. I'll leave the big flashy rims to the ricers the last thing we need to do is borrow ideas from them.

that, and the price is well beyond most sane humans (who can justify 2 grand for a rim?). I have painted stock steel 15" rims with a chrome trim ring: estimate cost $100. Looks like no other Dak on the road, which is what were all after right?
