 Subject: Supercharger question?

I just purchased a 04 dakota with a 4.7 and heard of something at the dealer. The guy was saying that the 4.7 and the 318 are the same motor just debored or destroked. I was wondering if anyone knows if this is true or not. If the heads have the same ports then that would mean you could take a blower meant for a 318 and put it on a 4.7 with little mods. Thanx for any help.

They are totally diffent motors. The 4.7l is a ohc motor.
The 5.9L and 5.2L are what he was referring to.
