Im needing to upgrade my shocks. Currently have 55k on my 4.7 '01 QC w/mods. Daily driver with a bad attitude. I was looking at the Monroe reflex. I need a comfortable ride with the performance edge. Has any body used these? Any other suggestions? Ranchos RS5000??

anyone?

I got the Edelbrock IAS perf. shocks - These have given a noticable differance than the stock P.O.S.'s

just installed reflex's on my '00 QC 2wd. they are great. the stockers took a dump about 35k. great road feel, control. no nose diving under hard braking. no more front end wander over rough roads. FYI, ranchos and monroe's are both made by tenneco automotive. reflex's 40 bucks ea. @ o'reilly's, rs5000's 55 ea. i think.

Those seem reasonably priced compared to the $69 for Edelbrocks. I wonder how the Reflexes compare to the IAS'?

Doesnt matter what shocks you pick - chances are you arent going to notice the difference between major brands anyway. Go with the cheapest - Youll thank my later

I'm with daddio on this one. I replaced the OEM shocks with Rancho RS5000 and they were shot in about 3 months. I replaced them with Monroe Reflex and have been happy with the ride and performance.

(I know Monroe and Rancho are owned by the same company)

I have had the Reflex shocks on my R/T for about 6 months now. They are okay but I was expecting more. It's like they're valved for a truck that weighs about 1500 pounds more than mine :\ Too hard on compression and too soft on rebound.

I've had a set of Edelbrock IAS on my '01 RC for about 3 months now. The smoother ride PLUS better handling made the price seem like a bargain, in light of the transformation to the Dak.
