Here in about a month, I'm planning on upgrading my truck. I can't decide which route to go. One is to get a supercharger kit. The other is to get other stuff like 1.7 rockers, M1 intake, 4.10 gears, MSD ignition system, etc. (I have a complete list on my other computer) Would the supercharger give me more performance gain than the other?

While I am no expert on engine dynamics, I do think that in order to get the maximum effect from a supercharger, you would need to be able to get the boosted air into and out of the engine easier, which would include upgrades such as you mentioned. You are definetly going to want to upgrade the ignition, and the 4.10's would also be a good idea to get all that power to the ground. Hope that helps.

I've already got a few bolt-ons. K&N FIPK, 3" Flowmaster, 52mm Fastman TB, 180 t-stat, 3923 Autolites. I'll have enough cash to do one or the other. I'm nowhere near an expert mechanic, so the easier, the better.

it's the single biggest thing you can do short of putting in a better engine

personally i'd put the supercharger in first, then do the roller rockers, intake exhaust and then you can better judge the performance increase as you do each, the supercharger will be the most shocking add on, i've done all the piddly things and while there is a difference it's not as noticeable doing them one at a time

I probably will go with the supercharger. I'm looking at the Paxton, but I'm open to suggestions on other brands if anyone's got any.
