On my 99 5.2, are there optional holes/fittings to add water and oil pressure sensors? If so, where are they? I want to use the new mechanical gauges along with my idiot lights.

Thanks in advance

i dont know of any... but you can put a brass "t" fitting between the block and the oil pressure sending unit and installing an external oil gauge there.

6.6 Lt. Big Block, 727 TF shift kit, 452 heads, edelbrock 750 cfm, .513/.513 284/300 crower cam, comp cams springs, comp cams pushrods, 1.5 roller rockers, dp intake, mopar ignition, mopar windage tray, dual exhaust w/ 40 series flowmasters, 4.10 gears, coilover drag suspension, approx, 3500 lbs

Intense, I'm going to do just that with the oil pressure sender. However, the water temp sendor placement is another issue. I've been told to NOT use a "tee" at the existing fitting because the sensor will be getting a mis-reading due to the fact that the pickup will not be submerged in the coolant (deep inside the intake manifold like it is now). I hear there's an auxilary hole on the passenger side of the block (near the coil), but that looks like it's really hard to get to.

i've been looking at hooking up an autometer water temp gauge as well. when i pulled my manifold off last week to fix the belly pan and do some gasket matching, i found something interesting.

next to the thermostat housing is a big black hose, looks like the main temp sensor, runs back to the firewall and to the computer i guess. but right next to that i also found a smaller electrical sensor, which looks like its picking up the temperature too. just a simple little plug-in two wire sensor. whats this one doing? can i just splice into the signal wire on this one for my autometer gauge too?

racerX, that big black hose is a heater hose. That smaller "sensor" with wires you refered to is the factory temp sensor. I dont think you want to just splice to drive your autometer gauge. Their sensor might react different than the stock one. I emailed autometer last night for their advise. When I get a response, I'll post it.
