 Subject: Stainless Steel Brake Lines for 2000+

I went to order the Goodridge Stainless Steel brake lines today for a 2000 AWD Quad Cab. Their part number from their web site is 15004. When I tried to order them from a supplier I was told that Goodridge does not sell that kit any more. Russell doesn't do Dakotas. Is there anybody that has a ready-made SS brake line kit for the 2000+ Dakota?

For the same reason anybody does it. We are talking, of course, about braided lines over flexible hose where the lines drop to the axles, not ripping out the existing metal lines.
+ less volumetric expansion
+ greater resistance to abrasion
+ originals need replaced anyway
+ was happy with it on other vehicles

UHHH - I did this on the front brake to my Harley, afterwards it felt like I had twice the braking without all that pressure being sucked up by an expandable rubber line. Huge difference. I would guess that's why people are considering this for the trucks. Are you trying to say it didn't work as well for your truck ?
