Message:
Has anyone ever expeirenced mutliple injector circuit faults? The other day the check engine light came on & I stop to check the faults & found almost all the injector circuit had faults & the TPS. Also the oil pressure sending unit seemed to quit at about the same time. Let me know if you have any ideas?????

Thanks

Yes - wiring harness = connectors
disconnect negative of battery
then disconnect connector to " computer "
should be on passenger side firewall
inspect for corrosion/rust
then if ok or cleaned , reconnect
and try again..

Do not replace the wiring harness-what you need is a throttle position sensor. I know it sounds funny but the TPS causes a volt spike that the computer sees and thinks you are hitting the throttle very quickly and as the computer tries to pulse the injectors it does not see a quick enough inductive spike from the injectors which cause this code to be set. There is a reflash available for this problem but all it does is makes the controller ignore the volt spike. I would replace the tps because if it is causing this problem it will soon cause others such as kicking in and out of lockup among others. Trust me Do NOT replace the harness it will be a waste of money!! Screw on a new TPS and you will be good. Hope this helps.

my previous reply does not issue the oil pressure problem which is most likely caused by a failed pressure sensor. If you have access to a pressure gauge you may want to test the oil pressure first but the pressure gauge is more expensive than the sensor. In my experience, the sensor is the cause of 95% or the oil pressure gauge problems that I have encountered. Usually if you have low oil pressure you will notice some engine noise.
