This was at about 80 deg with very very high humidity....
Not too shabby for a long bed 4x4.

Dude that rocks ! Seeing that timeslip when you get a new best is almost better than dumpin a nut ;-)

With that mph , you can almost barely touch a 13. Get some traction and bring that 60 ft. down to a 2.0

Congrats on your new ET.

IntenseDak39, my Durango ran a best of 9.72 in the 1/8th which I think translates to around a 15.3 in the 1/4. But, mine has a 5.9 with fastman tb, accel igntion, cold air intake, transgo shift kit..blah, blah. But, I'm just practicing for my 71 Dodge Dart 440/727 4.10 gears...I will need to charge tickets because big block a-bodies are one of the wildest rides in town.

Thanks man... I think thats pretty good for a 4x4. Ive gotta push around 4300lbs, thats a lot of meat ya know? My goal with the thing is 12.8 at whatever MPH. I think that I have about 300 at the wheels now, if you go by the DSM HP calculator page... to get to 12.8 I need 410... I think I can get that out of a well built 360 at say, 8-10 psi... and I should get way more with a 408... but Im not pleased right now with KRC, Ive been waiting 2 months now for my gauge pods.... not certain about getting a motor from them ya know??

yeah when i first read it i was gonna say "fix your 60'" but then i saw it, too, was a 4x4.

are you running with your front driveshaft in? can you drive without it in? i know you could on other dakotas. Could save you a little drivetrain loss.

I never saw a 13 untill I added a supercharger and other mods with the Supension and Tranny But once you get to a middle 13 you then want a 12 and 12`s cost more money than I can spend I put over $5000.00 into a good running truch with 7000 miles on it but I have the need for speed..
Love that Keene Bell System.. I am now waiting for a Nozzel for my Matt Snow water injection.. then see if I can run a bit more boost , some tell me yes without any eng. changes.. I was a bit on the leary side about the Powdered Metal Rods on the 4.7... But I have found that GM uses them on HO Crate engines with no problems.. I could get some new heads for it the stock are to thin to open up very much..

Dakota52318 ... I cannot stress strongly enough about staying away from KRC on a motor, buyer beware.

Contact Damon in Michigan at sales@db-performance-eng.com

He can get some serious built stuff for you and is very knowledgeable, tell him I sent ya.

Just got back from the track with semi-good feelings. Note I have a '01 QC 4x4 DAK w/4.7L> I have an air raid on it and the comp flashed. Today I ran pure stock Auto class. The track is George Rays Wild cat, 1/8 th mile track. during time trials I was running around 10.21- 10.38 before the race I took the kn air filter off and put an ice bottle into the intake tube 1st race against a silverado I ran a 9.48, completely wasting the chevy. the next against another chevy. I ran 9.80 winning, but barely. The third run was against a full size Dodge w/360, headers, comp.,undersize pulleys. tall gears he only beat me by a truck length. I ran a stinkin 10.28. I am wondering if keeping the Ice bottles in the intake box will keep my times in the 9's if not I gotta get the wrenches out. By the way we were in the final race for all the Dodge fans when the smoke cleared only the big Mopars were left standing!!

Tell ya what, if you know any of the details about those complaints, give me a shout at Dakota52318@toad.net as I was planning to order a motor from them maybe by the end of the year. If what you say is true, that would really suck cause they do seem to be on the edge and do a lot of promising things for the dakotas.

Another question, I looked around the site haven't seen exaclty what i need to know. During the race today my Dak seemed really flat from 1500 to about 2500 RPM Like it was nose diving or something. the first run on the cold intake seemed to fix that a little but after that flattened out again Was leafing thru summitt catalog looking for cool stuff, seen that new holley 2 barrel intake. Is it worth a crap? is it worth 400 bucks?

Well here is the only info I will give you that I can verify.

I bought a set of used KRC R/T heads. If you saw the shabby port exhaust work done on them by them you would just shake your head.

Not to mention the worn valve guide which i will pull the heads back off next year to have repaired. Now in honesty I can't blame them for the valve guide issue but the porting is truly pitifull.

Enough said, there are far better reputable places that work on only daks.

John Mercedes, SoCal Dakota, The Fastman to name a few.
