I have several questions for you fellers. First, WTF is the "fuel door"? It's in the instrument cluster, bottom, right of center. At first, I figured it was to let you know if the cap/door was open (DOH!).
Second, is it just me, or are the cargo lights set up wrong? On mine, you have to go thru the interior lights first, and they stay on, if you want your cargo light to stay on.
Last, for now. My little "check engine soon" light is on. I took it to the dealer when it first happened, and they said nothing was wrong, put in some code, and it went off. Now it's back on. Should I concern myself?
Thx, in advance, Mark...

Run by Autozone. They can check your code for free. Not too familiar with the newer daks. Most new trucks have the cargo light wired to the interior lights. Kinda dumb, IMO.

I bought an OBDI/II reader a couple years ago, comes in very handy with errant codes and such.

Looks like you have a '00 - you can pull the codes on that yourself. Turn key on off on off on - that will set any code in the odometer (briefly, then they're usually cleared). Once you get the code, most are listed on this site if you do a search here. The more critical codes will set the light flashing, if steady probably no need to panic.

Lead, follow, or get out of the way

The "fuel door" on the instrument panel has a tiny arrow pointing to the left next to the word "fuel". It's there to remind you which side the fuel door is on when you pull up to the pump.
